Ocean Refund jewellery is made out of natural materials and must be handled with care. To make your pieces last, there are a few simple actions you can take. 

Sea Glass

Sea glass jewellery should be handled with care to preserve its natural beauty and condition. Here are a few tips for treating and cleaning sea glass jewellery:

  • Avoid exposing sea glass jewellery to harsh chemicals, such as chlorine and bleach.
  • Do not clean sea glass jewellery with abrasive materials, as this can scratch the surface of the glass.
  • Gently wipe the sea glass with a soft cloth to remove any dirt or debris.
  • If you want to keep the natural patina of the sea glass, you may want to avoid using any type of polish or sealer. Instead, take a cloth and polish it with olive oil.
  • Avoid exposing sea glass jewellery to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight, as this can cause the glass to crack or discolour.
  • Store sea glass jewellery in a cool, dry place, preferably in a soft cloth or padded jewellery box.
  • Sea glass is fragile and can break if dropped on hard surface.

Always be gentle with sea glass jewellery, as it’s a natural product.

Sea Shells

Sea shells are a beautiful natural material that must be treated with care. The shells we use for our jewellery are cleaned in water. They are not treated in any other way. 

If you want to clean any sea shell, you can use warm water and soap. Don’t use any harsh products as they may cause damage, or make them crack or discolour.

Sterling Silver

We use Sterling Silver for our jewellery, and with extended wear and exposure to natural elements and water over time, it can tarnish. 

You can easily clean it using a soft cloth, or a microfiber cloth to wipe down the silver and remove any dirt. You can also use a specialized silver cleaning solution that is made specifically for cleaning sterling silver. Follow the instructions on the product carefully.
